Rwanda's economy fluxuates!

This picture depicts some Rwandans armed with weapons that China shipped to them.
In 1973 Juvènal Habyarimana took control as the new president of Rwanda in a bloodless coup. A few years later the RPF (Rwandan Patriotic Front) was created in Uganda, designed to be a noncommittal party. When the RPF invaded Rwanda, in hope of aiding the country, a civil war broke out across the country.

  1. Why would a country purposely aid Rwanda with fire arms? That's basically encouraging the Hutu to kill the Tutsi.

  2. Not exactly. Firearms are not always used just for mass killings they can also be used for protecting oneself.

  3. That is true if the weapons are used responsibly. However, organizing and training Rwanda troops to kill each other is unacceptable.

  4. Also, France helped in training ethnic Hutu militia perpatrators. Not only that, but they were caught in the act of helping plan the genocide. France even participate in some of the killings!

  5. A countless amount of lives could have been saved if it were not for the disturbing actions France chose to take.

  6. We agree with France. We were just trying to help by shipping those firearms to Rwanda. It was more than you did to help. The training was just to ensure that the Hutu had the proper experience going into their war.
